Zircon is a yellow Crystal containing the very essence of fortitude itself. When absorbed, it boosts the player's defense. Zircon Abilities are accessed through the collection of this Crystal. Having Zircon naturally provides increased resistance to damage, as well as encrusting around the player to form Zircon Armor, which forms a second health bar, covering the base one. It can be found in the Zircon Zone and Mixed Zone.

Resistance[]
- Depending on the amount of Zircon collected, the player's resistance increases. This resistance covers every type of damage, excluding the damage from Ruby Missile explosions.
Zircon Armor[]
- If the player's HP Bar is full, each piece of Zircon collected will gather and form armor. The armor's protection is shown as a second yellow bar of HP that covers the basic one. The more HP worth of shield is possessed, the more armor grows on the player. The armor consists of an arm gauntlet at 150 HP, a matching gauntlet at 300 HP, and three back spikes at 500HP, 700HP, and 950HP, respectively.
